MEET NATIONAL COUNCIL CHAIR

JENNIFER CROUGHWELL

Jennifer is currently pursuing a Political Science and Sociology student with a minor in Pre-Law at Eastern Connecticut State University. Jennifer's political journey has been marked by her commitment to making a difference. She is currently interning in the office of Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz and has previously interned with Senator Richard Blumenthal’s office and Governor Ned Lamont's Re-election campaign. With her involvement as Deputy Chief of Staff for the College Democrats of America and as Chief of Staff for the College Democrats of Connecticut, Jennifer has worked closely with the President and Vice President to make sure the chapters in Connecticut feel heard. Jennifer's strong advocacy for women's rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, veterans and military families issues, and climate change is not only limited to her impressive political resume but is deeply ingrained in her actions and affiliations. For example, her involvement in the Bans off our Bodies Rally with the Lt. Governor of Connecticut at her campus, which helped push the protection of abortion rights in CT after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, serves as a testament to her commitment to the cause of women’s rights.
