MEET THE Communications Director

SOhali Vaddula

Sohali Vaddula is a freshman studying Public Policy at New York University with a minor in media, communications, and culture on the pre-law track. Before joining The College Democrats of America, Sohali was the National Director of Communications for the High School Democrats of America during which she found her budding interest in political communications. Shortly after, she was appointed the deputy director of communications before becoming the National Director of Communications for College Democrats of America. Aside from politics, Sohali's advocacy ranges from serving as a student representative on her school board in high school, grassroots organizing with MOVETexas, and volunteering with NYU Votes.

Having lived across the country from California to Texas and now in D.C. and New York City, Sohali's exposure to a wide range of political environments has led her to spearhead efforts against political polarization in her community. In the near future, Sohali aspires to be a law student on the East Coast with a specific focus on constitutional law, while further exploring the fields of political communications and public relations. Sohali's dream is to one day overturn the overturning of Roe v. Wade and finally shut down Texas's heartbeat bill SB8.
