MEET THE VICE PRESIDENT

SUNJAY MURALITHARAN

Sunjay is a PreLaw student studying Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. His passion lies in the realms of public service, evident in his aspirations to serve as a public defender and elected official. Within collegiate politics, Sunjay has an extensive record: serving as the present Vice President of UCSD College Democrats, San Diego Regional director & Progressive Caucus Chair of the CA College Democrats, as well as the former College Democrats of America National Director of Communications and Civic Engagement Representative of his university’s student council; within the College Democrats of America’s previous election cycle, he received the most votes of any candidate in the contest.

Outside of the collegiate realm, Sunjay holds a profound passion in political communication & writing; he’s received two features in the New York Times regarding the national conversation surrounding Affirmative Action, amassed over 17 million views on his personal political account, served as the former editor-in-chief of UninvitedSF Blog (a youth-run blog of international writers with opinion pieces in politics, science, and culture with thousands of monthly readers) and is nearing the end of the first iteration of his book’s manuscript: Dear Indian Parents, From, Your American Born Children.
